ICC’s delay causes trouble for Sri Lanka Cricket! Featured

The ICC has put off until today (11) the sentencing of Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal, coach Chandika Haturusinghe and manager Asanka Gurusinghe over the fiasco during the second Test against West Indies.

The announcement of the sentencing was due yesterday.

They have been found guilty over an incident, in which Chandimal was accused of changing the condition of the ball and the team refrained from taking to the field in protest.

As a result of this delay, Sri Lanka Cricket is unable to name a captain, coach and manager for the Test series against the visiting South Africans that begins tomorrow.

However, the SLC has not at least made any inquiry from the ICC regarding the matter, as it is without a knowledgeable person in administration.
