MRI scan for Rangana?

Moments before the end of the third day of the first test being played between Sri Lanka and India in Galle, Rangana Herath sustain injury to his left middle finger. Upon being subjected to an x-ray it was revealed that he had fractured the finger, said team Manager Asanka Gurusinghe.

However, in case the pain persists today (29) he would undergo an MRI scan, he said.

Special attention is being paid to Rangana’s fractured finger as it was the same finger that sustained a fracture back in 2014.

Herath sustain injury when he attempted to stop a shot by Virath Kohli at short extra cover.

Herath is currently captaining the Sri Lanka team and is also the most senior and experienced bowler.

He was appointed as the captain due to Dinesh Chandimal falling ill.

However, on the first day of the test, Asela Gunaratne too was injured while fielding and had to undergo surgery.
