Asela Gunaratne (80) and Niroshan Dickwella (81) contributed with big knocks down the order as they took the side to a much-wanted victory in the only Test against Zimbabwe.

Although Sri Lanka has faced Zimbabwe in the Test arena for almost five decades, Sri Lanka has never lost to Zimbabwe and there was doubt if that record would be broken today. The fear was compounded with Sri Lanka losing the ODI series to Zimbabwe by 3-2.
