Green light for LPL - Final discussion with President tomorrow

Sri Lanka government has given green light for the Lanka Premier League, tournament director Ravin Wickramaratne said.

Wickramaratne said the tournament may delay by a few days but it will now go ahead in Sri Lanka.

Sports minister Namal Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka Cricket officials and health officials will meet tomorrow with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to decide the final arrangements.

Players participating the LPL have to go a 7 day quarantine period while broadcasting staff are subject to 14 day quarantine period.

All matches are going to be played in Hambantota, Wickramaratne said.

The Ministry of health is expected to handover health guidelines and requirements for the tournament tomorrow.
