World renowned fast bowler Lasith Malinga has stated that he would continue to play international cricket even after the upcoming Twenty20 world series.

However, it was earlier stated that 36-year-old Malinga would retire from the Twenty20 game.

Expressing his views to Cricinfo, Malinga who previously stated that he would retire after next year's tournament had indicated that he could participate in the Twenty20 game for around two more years. . 

"T20 is four overs and I feel with my skill, I can manage T20 as a bowler. As a captain, because I've played so many T20s around the world that I feel I can manage that period for maybe another two years," he had said. 

Malinga is the only man to take 100 T20I wickets and first in history to reach a century of scalps in Tests, ODIs and T20Is, cricinfo reported.
