Seniors consent to Pakistan tour Featured

The senior Sri Lankan cricketers are said to have consented to the test tour of Pakistan in December.

These seniors had decided not to tour Pakistan for the Twenty20 tournament earlier due to security concerns.

It was a youth team which toured Pakistan at that time and they were accorded security arrangements generally accorded to a president.

Since the attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009 no foreign teams visited Pakistan for any test series. However after a decade Pakistan has been granted the opportunity to host a test series.

Captain Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Mathews and several other senior players are scheduled to join this tour, according to reports.
