Mushfiqur released from hospital

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim has been released from hospital after being admitted for tests after being struck on the head during the match against New Zealand earlier today (16).

Rahim was being struck on the back of the helmet as he tried to duck under a low bouncer from New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee.

A team spokesman said he was suffering mild concussion.

He was given treatment from paramedics and team medical staff for almost 20 minutes before being taken to the Wellington Hospital for precautionary Tests.

"I'm feeling much better. Things could have been worse," Mushfiqur had said. "Luckily I escaped. There is a bit of pain there but hopefully I'll get through."

Following is a video of Mushfiqur being hit by the low bouncer.
