Village in Puttalam under lockdown (Pics)

Due to the prevailing Covid-19 health condition, the Kadumayakulam village in the Puttalam area has been locked down.

The Puttalam PHI office says that entry and exit points of the village are closed down.

These measures were taken after a man who had recently come down from Indonesia was tested as positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus. It is said that this person had gone overseas for a religious propaganda purpose.

Yesterday (29) a quarantine center had been opened at the Zahira National School in Puttalam for 30 persons who has had close contacts with this Covid-19 patient in the last few days.

It is said that health authorities have also sealed his house as well as a house of a person he has had close contacts with.
