‘Journalist disregarded ethics in conflict reporting’

The manner in which the media was treated at Hambantota port during a heated workers’ protest cannot be condoned in any way, but it has come to light that the journalist who had come under attack had disregarded the minimum ethical practices with regard conflict reporting, says director of government information Ranga Kalansuriya.

The defence ministry says an investigation will be conducted into the alleged attack on the journalist by the Navy commander.
