SLPP won't welcome any crossovers after victory

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has decided not to welcome any individual crossing over to them after winning the LG polls, the 'Ada' newspaper reports.
The party was responding to queries on reports citing that seven ministers including Susil Premjayantha are prepared to line themselves with former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.
With this decision of the SLPP, these ministers have scrapped their original idea and have pledged to work according to the decisions of president Maithripala Sirisena.
However, they have also reportedly decided to sit in the opposition as independent MPs, should the need arises.
