He says the president is yet to advise him, despite a promise, to resolve the human-elephant conflict in the Sinharaja.
Fonseka says he has chosen a 50 acre land from an estate in Rakwana with the forest to relocate the two elephants in question.
He said he sought the support of the estate development ministry in that regard and also instructed the wildlife department to make the required arrangements.
If he is not given support to make the arrangements within three months, Fonseka says he will resign.
According him, his deputy minister too, will follow suit.
