Varadaraja Perumal to join TNA! ^Featured

Varadaraja Perumal, first chief minister of the northeastern province, is to join the TNA, ‘Ravaya’ reports.

A founding leader of the EPRLF, he is not presently in active politics.

According to reports, Perumal will be the TNA’s chief ministerial candidate.

He was elected CM at the 1988 PC polls, and after the dissolution of the PC two years later, he went to live in India.

After the end of the war, he returned and worked with the EPRLF-breakaway Padmanabha faction.
