Appointment letters of public servants mention a contributory pension scheme for them, although the budget proposal in this regard is yet to be made part of the law.

The centre for safeguarding pension rights notes this in a letter to the president.

It says the security of the retired life is in danger due to the introduction of a contributory pension scheme.

In the face of an increasing population of the elderly, what should be done is to further strengthen the social security schemes, not weakening them, says the letter.
