Malaysia’s first lady donates for Lankan children

First Lady of Malaysia Datin Paduka Seri Hjh. Rosmah Mansor donated RM 50,000 (approx US 12000) to Flood Victims in Sri Lanka at the Iftar program organized by PERMATA at the Official residence the Prime Ministers on 20 June 2017.

The cheque was handed over in the presence of Hon Dato' Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia by the first lady to the High Commissioner AJM Muzammil to help children affected by the recent floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.

The PERMATA Programmes were founded in 2007 by YABhg. Datin Paduka Seri Hjh. Rosmah Mansor, who identified several professional groups including educators, academics, physicians, police officers, lawyers and government officials to address her concerns and propose solutions to increasingly prevalent social problems among children. Madam Ferouza Muzammil also participated at this event.

High Commissioner AJM Muzamil met with Hon Dato' Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia following the presentation of the donation by PERMATA.
