Police intelligence officers deployed to probe girl's death at Rishard's house

A team of police intelligence officers have been deployed to trace the persons who have allegedly sexually abused a 16-year old girl who served as a domestic aid at the residence of former Minister Rishad Bathiutheen.
The girl committed suicide last week after setting herself on fire.

Investigations have revealed that the girl has been sexually abused for a long period of time.
Sources said a team of police have been deployed to identify the persons who had sexually abused her.  The team has gone to the Dayagama area where the girl's house is located.
The person who had brought the girl to Rishard's house was asked to come to the Borella police yesterday and a statement was recorded from him. His bank accounts are now being probed.
The particular person has been paid a sum of Rs 20,000 per month for brining the girl to serve at the Rishard's residence.
Borella police is conducting further investigation.
