Speaking at the opening of the new courts complex in Polonnaruwa, he said he has told all visiting heads of states and the UN secretary-general that foreign judges would not be welcome.

The law does not permit foreign judges’ participation either, and a constitutional amendment would be required to do otherwise, he said.
