According to the 'Aruna' newspaper, the transfers were a part of restructuring the CID, which will now take in SPs and ASPs as required.
According to the Police Headquarters, the transfers were made by the Acting IGP, in view of allegations leveled against officers who had been attached to the CID for some time.
The officers have been transferred stating that their services are no longer needed at the CID.
It is said that there are 04 female officers among the transferred officers.
Officers who had investigated the Easter Sunday attacks and the case in regard with Rishad Bathiudeen and his brother, are also among the transferred officers, reports add.
These officers have been transferred to Colombo, Kelaniya, Gampaha, Kegalle, Kurunegala and Matara divisions.
