Nearly 400,000 unemployed due to COVID-19 Featured

A survey by the Department of Labor has revealed that 382,537 workers in private sector firms have lost their jobs due to the spread of the COVID-19.

According to a survey conducted by the Department of Labour in May, 1,350 out of 2,536 private firms have been shut down.

It is said that 1,105 private companies have reopened with limited capacity.

The report also revealed that only 81 institutions are fully operational.

Furthermore, 1,084  investors are unable to pay salaries to 153,702 employees.
