The order was issued by High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi.
Court also issued summons for the 2nd and 3rd witnesses in the case to appear before court on the date of the hearing.
Minister Wimal Weerawansa however was not present in Court today.
Representing the Minister in Court, President’s Counsel Jayantha Weerasinghe informed court that Minister Weerawansa was unable to attend today’s hearing due to him attending a special Ministers meeting instead.
The case was filed against the Minister on charges of unlawful acquisition of assets worth Rs.75 million in assets during his tenure as a State Minister between 2009-2014.
