Another contract to a Chinese company!

Cabinet approval had been granted to China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC) and Southwest Municipal Engineering and Research Institute of China (SEMEDRIC) for the design, supply and installation/construction of the Municipal Solid Waste Sanitary Landfill Disposal Facility at Aruwakkalu.

Cabinet approval to this was given on a proposal made by the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Champika Ranawaka.

Cabinet last week approved the allocation of 10% of the agreed contract value amounting to $ 9,048,225.92 (Rs. 162,293,621.11) to the Chinese consortium which has been awarded the contract
