COPE insists on participation of SLC authorities  Featured

The Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) of Parliament is to commence investigating the fraud and corruptions at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on 3 September. 
Sri Lanka Mirror learns that the COPE Secretary has informed the SLC authorities that senior officials including the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer must attend the investigation.

Sri Lanka Mirror previously reported that the SLC officials are trying to evade the COPE committee.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the SLC authorities are hoping to get its audit report, which was not approved at the SLC election held a few months ago, approved at the Special General Meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

It is also reported that the Auditor General has highlighted a number of problematic areas in the cricket audit report prepared by the Auditor General which has been referred to the affiliated sports clubs.
