The petition filed by Mr. Jayasundara against the decision to send him on compulsory leave was taken up before Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, S. Thurairaja, and L.T.B. Dehideniya this morning.
Additional Solicitor General Indika Devamuni appearing for the Attorney General told court that the President's Secretary and the State Intelligency Service Director have filed objections against the case through affidavits.
They have been named as respondents in the case.
However, attorney Viran Corea representing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jayasundara told court that he had not received such affidavits so far.
Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and former National Intelligence Chief Sisira Mendis who were also among the respondents to the petition, were represented by President's Counsels Anuja Premaratne and Shanaka Ranasinghe respectively.
Acting IGP C.D. Wickremaratne, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, and the members of the Constitutional Council have also been named as respondents to the petition.
