Insufficient discussion on defense in parliament? Featured

It is revealed that Parliamentarians' contribution on the topic of defense in parliament is of a very low percentage.

According to statistics unveiled by, the contribution stands only at a mere 1.2 percent.

However, it states that 341 MPs have contributed to the topic, with Ruwan Wijewardene, Sarath Fonseka, Buddhika Pathirana, Wijayadasa Rajapaksha and Anura Kumara Dissanayake being the top five contributors respectively. It is singular that none from the Joint opposition are among the top five contributors.

The website also states that the number of times MPs have spoken about Defense in parliament stands at 77.
