PM requests ambassadors to lift travel ban Featured

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has appealed to all Ambassadors and High Commissioners to take measures to lift the travel ban imposed on Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister had met with the Ambassadors and High Commissioners at Temple Trees last evening and had made the request to lift the travel ban during this meeting.

During the meeting details regarding the current security situation and the progress of the investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks were also presented to the diplomats.

Wickremesinghe had pointed out at this meeting that the day-to-day life of the general public had returned to normalcy, adding that maximum security has been deployed to ensure safety.

State Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardena, Secretary to the PM Saman Ekanayake, Foreign Ministry Secretary Ravinatha Ariyasinghe and DIG Ajith Rohana had also attended the meeting.
