Speaking to a group of visiting foreign journalists on the Chinese developed Phytium CPU chip and Kylin OS system, he said, "Our president once said that we must master the core of the technology by ourselves... The Phytium and the Operating System, the Kylin system… they are independently developed by ourselves... So we are ready because we mastered the core technology. So you see, this is how we tackle the situation."
Elaborating on the products, park officials further explained that the Phytium CPU chip and the Operating System - Kylin are their homegrown independent intellectual property. Adding that the Kylin OS is currently the most secure one in China with security features even more superior to that of Windows products, they said that the products are currently used only in their party system and government related work.
