Madumadawa absconds from Police Featured

Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) deputy leader Madumadawa Aravinda has failed to appear at the Minuwangoda Police Station despite summons being issued to be present to provide a statement in connection with his alleged presence during a tense situation that erupted in Minuwangoda on May 13, police said.

As he was not present at his house when the summons was issued his mother had been informed and in response she has stated that these days her son is away from home for Wesak celebrations.

Addressing a media conference yesterday the leader of PHU Udaya Gammanpila stated that he rejects allegations laid against Madumadawa Aravinda stating that he is absconding Police.

However, addressing media Mr.Aravinda stated that he arrived at the location to inquire about the heavy traffic condition.

Furthermore, the Police have revealed that when monitoring his call records it was identified that a person related to the incident has called Mr.Aravinda.
