TNA opposes Nat'l Govt. proposal!

The UNP is trying to undemocratically establish a National Government and the TNA is vehemently against it, the Tamil National Alliance said.

This was stated by the TNA Media Spokesman M.A. Sumanthiran during a media briefing held in Jaffna.

He noted that previously the TNA had opposed a similar move and if they were bringing forth this proposal with the aim of increasing the number of Ministers, then his party would again oppose such a proposal.

Sumanthiran pointed out that their stand was that a national government should be established, but a political solution can only be reached through the two main parties uniting.
