Meanwhile, former speaker Chamal Rajapaksa said that had he been the incumbent speaker, he would not have convened parliament in the present scenario, until the court decision was given.

Sending a letter to the speaker, UPFA MPs ask him to stop publicizing the Hansard for November 14, 15, 16, 19, 21 and 23, saying the sittings on those days were not conducted in accordance with the constitution, standing orders and parliamentary traditions.
