Fonseka resumes ministerial duties

UNP MP Sarath Fonseka has resumed duties as the minister of regional development and Wildlife, reports say.

The position of Environment minister fell vacant after the minister of wildlife - Wasantha Senanayake also re-joined the UNP after briefly crossing over to support Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maithripala Sirisena.

The regional development minister of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government was S.B. Navinna while TNA MP - S. Viyalenthiran functioned as the deputy minister.

Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', a spokesperson of Fonseka said that the former ministers have already handed over their ministry vehicles.
