Consultants retirement age extended

The government has decided to extend the retirement age of Consultant doctors to 63.

The gazette notification in this regard was issued by the Public Administration and Law and Order Minister Ranjith Maddumabandara recently.

The new amendment to the retirement age of Consultant doctors will be implemented from June 06, 2017. The previous retirement age of consultants was at 60 years.
