Employed graduates protest against curtailment of rights

(Srilankamirror) – Alleging curtailment of their rights, employed graduates staged a protest march and agitation in Colombo today (June 12).

The protestors marched from Borella Junction to State Administration Department, where a demonstration took place.

Led by the Employed Graduates Union, they demanded the abolition of the programme officers’ constitution, change of a salary cadre and the opportunity to sit for administrative service examinations.

They warned of union action if authorities failed to solve these issues.
