Bran Nue Dae in Colombo

(Srilankamirror) – Award winning Australian film ‘Bran Nue Dae’ will be screened at the National Film Corporation, Colombo this evening (June 06).

Presented by the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, the film screening will commence at 7.30 pm.

The film, which was also screened in Jaffna last month, will be shown at the Art Faculty Cinema Hall in Peradeniya, Kandy on June 12 at 6.30 pm.

Bran Nue Dae is a feature film adaptation of 1990 musical Bran Nue Dae by Jimmy Chi.

Bran Nue Dae won the Audience award for Best Feature at the ‘Melbourne International Film Festival awards’ and was nominated for the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.
