Sangeeth goes WAYO

(Srilankmirror) – Singer Sangeeth Wijesuriya of the popular ‘Sanidapa’ musc group is to start another band, ‘Srilankamirror’ learns.

The new band – WAYO will have ten members, including Sangeeth’s son, who will be a drummer.

An acoustic band, WAYO will have to drummers and two keyboard players.

Posters of WAYO emerged on the social network Facebook, with the identities of the members (except Sangeeth) concealed.

Sangeeth, who rose to popularity with the song Siriyalatha, worked with the Sanidapa band for nearly a decade.

He fell into a mass of legal troubles after remixing Wijeratne Warakagoda’s track – ‘Rangahala Den Etha Ada Andure.’

Before emerging as an artiste, Sangeeth also worked as a Karate instructor.
