Market leader for radial and biased tyres in Sri Lanka, DSL (Pvt) Ltd introduced a green tyre by the name of GT radial Champiro Eco.GT Radial Champiro Eco is Sri Lanka’s st green tyre and upto date it has gained acceptance Island wide.

Speaking at a press conference, Chairman / MD of DSL Pvt Ltd – Mr.Saroj Perera said that GT Radial Champiro ECO was launched in 2010 and was awarded by MURI (Indonesian Records Body) as the first eco friendly tyre produced by an Indonesian manufacturer.

He added that the GT Radial Champiro ECO offers a more fuel efficient tyre to the market.

Further, he said that it would also help reduce the carbon emissions intern contributes reducing global warming.

Using Nanotek Silica Technology, The GT Radial Champiro ECO produces very low rolling resistance resulting in lower heat generation and hence reduce fuel consumption and thus reducing CO2 emissions making it Environmental Friendly, he said.

Also, the GT Radial Champiro ECO already complies with the very low the EU 2012 noise emission regulations (European Standard Regulations) and provides a high level of Comfort while driving. The use of new
generation polymers in the tread compound also provides high grip levels on wet surfaces which gives this tyre an overall Outstanding Performance for your driving experience.

Speaking, General Manager (Marketing) – Mr.Hashan Haputhanthri said that since the launch the sales force has penetrated and managed to sell almost all the quantities and the entire dealer network is happy for the move.

He added that GT Radial Champiro eco and NGK spark plugs help to reduce fuel wastage.
